Born in Italy, Sonia Bartuccelli acquired her professional maturity in Munich and gained further qualifications in LA, NYC, Milan, Rome and Berlin. She was able to prove her versatility in numerous jobs as a dancer and choreographer and thus built up a broad network in the international dance scene. During her career she started giving classes and coachings to share her passion and her experiences.


CHOREOGRAPHER

Experience and an artistic eye led to choreographic work in various fields.

Apart from being a performing dancer Sonia works ­as a choreographer and can refer to a wide variety of projects. Among others, she has already worked for Netflix, the TV series „SISI“ and „Ku’damm 63“, Adidas and the TV show Germany’s Next Topmodel by Heidi Klum.

Sonia is booked for pop acts, films, shows, TV shows, theatre productions, circus and fashion events. Likewise, the famous Las Vegas show „Stars in Concert“ in Berlin carries her choreographic signature and she was assistant to the leading choreographer and dance captain in the casting for the musical „Dirty Dancing“ in Berlin and Hamburg.


The choreography creation for various brand events as well as for exclusive galas, i.e. Ritz Carlton (Bahrain), Fairmount Nile City Hotel (Kairo), Michalsky, Michelin, Breitling, Porsche, IAA Opening Show, Covestro, BMW and Siemens are also part of her work.

COACH/TEACHER

Solid technique and expression: A teaching that is an inspiration for every participant.

Besides her career as a dancer and choreographer Sonia started to teach dance classes to pass on her knowledge, passion and love for the art of dance. Her goal is to enable students to express feelings through movements and acquired dancing techniques. She has a calm but demanding way to motivate her students to perform the maximum.

Sonia loves the fusion and combination of various dancing styles. Teaching with the discipline of the past but keeping up with the new styles of the present she creates a unique class room atmosphere.


She teaches workshops all over the world, but also has her own regular classes in Berlin. In 2016 she founded her own training program, the Advanced Dance Program, which is based at the Studio29 – House of Performing Arts. Various stars and artists count on Sonia’s expertise. Among others, she coached several talents for the TV show „Dance Dance Dance“, actress Anika Kuhl and singer Nadja Benaissa (No Angels).

DANCER

From passion to profession: A life on stage characterised by diverse experiences.

Sonia was born in Italy and has been trained in Germany and the USA at the „Iwanson Dance Center“ in Munich, at the „Broadway Dance Center“ in New York City and at „The Edge“ in Los Angeles. She expanded her education by participating in international workshops.

Throughout her career Sonia has worked with various choreographers and companies, which has given her the opportunity to expand her dance versatility. She has worked extensively in Germany and has toured and performed as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Sonia has performed in well-known theatres such as the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich or the Varieté Theatre in Berlin „Wintergarten“. She danced for the breakdance/classical production „Flying Bach“ with the Flying Steps and performed in TV shows like „X Factor“, „Wetten dass…?“, „Let’s Dance“, „ECHO“, „Stefan Raab“ and many more. She has furthermore been on stage with international stars such as David Garrett, Cheryl Cole, Tarkan, Lou Bega and national artists such as Helene Fischer, Fanta 4, Udo Lindenberg, Monrose and many more.
